North Macedonia and Bulgaria face off on Monday in a League C Group 4 showdown at Phillip II Arena. When these two teams faced off on June 2nd, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw. 

North Macedonia currently sits in second place in the standings, having picked up seven points so far this season. North Macedonia’s last game came against Georgia, and they didn’t look great. The offense couldn’t get on the board while the defense gave up two goals and that led to the defeat. This team is really banged up right now, and they will be without Stefan Ristovski, Arijan Ademi, Darko Churlinov, and Valon Ethemi in this game as they were pulled out because of injury. Aleksandar Trajkovski came off the bench in the last game, but is expected to move into the starting lineup here.

Bulgaria’s last game came against Gibraltar, and they scored five goals on the way to an easy victory. They started the scoring in the 23rd minute and there were five different players that scored a goal. They had 10 shots on target and 79 percent of the possession on the way to the victory. Ivan Yordanov, Hristiyan Petrov, Mateo Stamatov, and Ivan Dyulgerov are all expected to play at least some point of this game, In this game Bulgaria needs the offense to be good here. 

North Macedonia is dealing with a ton of injuries right now, and I expect their injuries are going to really let them down in this game. Look for Bulgaria to score two or three goals, and that will be enough to get the job done here. I just don’t think North Macedonia is going to find enough scoring to keep this game close.
