The Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Clippers collide at the crypto.com Arena on Thursday night.

The Detroit Pistons have been in a real funk as they’ve lost seven of their last eight games and they will be hoping to put a halt to a four-game slide after falling just short to the Raptors in a 115-111 loss on Monday. Jaden Ivey led the way with 21 points and eight assists, Bojan Bogdanovic added 18 points with five assists while Marvin Bagley chipped in with 16 points on six of 11 shooting. As a team, the Pistons shot 45 percent from the field and 10 of 31 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and trailed the Raptors by as many as 14 points which left them just too much ground to make up as they rallied with 34 points in the fourth quarter but couldn’t erase the deficit.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their past nine games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after falling painfully short to the Mavericks in a 103-101 road loss on Tuesday. Paul George led the way with 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists, Nicolas Batum added 22 points on seven of seven shooting off the bench, Marcus Morris scored 18 points while John Wall chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Clippers shot 53 percent from the field and 12 of 28 from the 3-point line as they rallied all the way back from an early 25-point deficit, only to come up just short as the Mavericks’ Luka Doncic drained the clutch 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win. The Clippers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-2 in the last nine meetings overall and the Pistons are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Los Angeles.

The Pistons have ruled out Cade Cunningham again while Cory Joseph is questionable, while the Clippers are keeping an eye on Luke Kennard who is day to day. The Pistons haven’t been able to stay competitive at all this season which is why it was surprising how close they kept it against the Raptors on Monday, but the Clippers have been on a nice run and they are coming into this one fresh off a painful loss. The line is a little hefty, but I think the Clippers bounce back with a big win and cover here.
