Through 10 games this year, North Carolina A&T was 5-5 with losses to Iowa, Iowa State, Gardner-Webb, Wofford and Houston. The Aggies have lost six of their last seven versus Norfolk State, UTEP, New Mexico State, Northeastern, Charleston and UNCW.

Matched up against UNC Wilmington back on Saturday, the Aggies trailed 30-27 going into halftime. North Carolina A&T didn’t end up getting any closer and fell 66-61. Kam Woods was tops in scoring with 24 points.

Last Wednesday in the UNC Wilmington game, the Phoenix were outscored 38-29 in the first half. Elon trailed 43-37 in the second on the way to an 81-66 loss. Zac Ervin put up 16 points with three rebounds and two assists to lead the team.

PICK: I’ll probably stay with North Carolina A&T. That said, I’m probably staying away; there’s not a lot to get excited about in this matchup. The Aggies have had some manageable matchups over the last seven games with very little success. North Carolina A&T has scored well here and there however; they’ve hit 76 or more points in four of the last five games. As for Elon, they’ve been at 66 or fewer points in five of their last six outings and probably won’t hang a ton of offense here either. It should be the Aggies’ cover to take.
