While clay is not his favorite surface, he has shown a significant improvement on it and with his array of weapons will be a handful. He starts as the favorite here against Marton Fucsovics and will be backing himself to advance to yet another Quarter-Final.

Marton Fucsovics is unseeded here at the BMW Open and is ranked 75th in the world. The Hungarian is one of the most talented players on the ATP Tour in my opinion, but is also one of the most inconsistent, making him extremely hard to trust. He lost in the First Round in Monte-Carlo but was able to beat Max Rehberg in the First Round here, setting up this clash with top 10 player Taylor Fritz. He is the big underdog here but is the type of player to never be underestimated, given his immense talent and power.

Taylor Fritz isn’t someone that a punter would want to put much faith in on this surface, but in fairness to him he is a lot better than he is given credit for. I expect him to use his serve and forehand to dictate this match, and while Marton Fucsovics is a solid player and capable of big things, it won’t happen here. He hasn’t shown that he is trustworthy this season, and I expect Fritz to cruise into the Quarter-Finals here without much fuss.
