The Texas A&M Aggies and the Arkansas Razorbacks meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Bud Walton Arena. Texas A&M comes into this matchup at 10-6 overall after a win over Kentucky in their last game. As for Arkansas, they’ve lost three straight at 9-7 this year, most recently falling to Florida on Saturday. Let’s get into our Texas A&M vs. Arkansas prediction. Texas A&M Aggies

The Aggies posted a 7-4 run to start the year, taking out Texas A&M-Commerce, Ohio State, SMU, Oral Roberts, Penn State, Iowa State and DePaul in that time. Texas A&M is 3-4 since then however, with losses to Memphis, Houston, LSU and Auburn on the card in that time.

On Saturday versus Kentucky, Texas A&M was able to get back into the win column with an upset. The Aggies scored 46 points in the first half, 43 in the second and eight in overtime during a 97-92 victory. Wade Taylor led the way on his 31 points, six rebounds and five assists in the win.

Arkansas Razorbacks

Over on the Arkansas side, they opened the year on a 9-4 run. The wins in that time were over Alcorn State, Gardner-Webb, Old Dominion, Stanford, Duke, Furman, Lipscomb, Abilene Christian and UNC Wilmington. Since then it’s been losses to Auburn, Georgia and Florida, though.

Matched up against Florida in the Saturday game, the Razorbacks went into the locker room with a 46-33 deficit. Arkansas didn’t get any closer on a 44-35 run from there and lost big 90-68. Layden Blocker came off the bench to lead the team on his 14 points, two steals and four rebounds.

ANDREW’S FREE TEXAS A&M VS ARKANSAS PREDICTION

I’ll stick with Texas A&M—so long as the Aggies don’t suffer that proverbial big-win hangover, that is. Texas A&M posted a great effort in their victory over Kentucky, hitting a 54-46 rebounding edge (25-17 offensive) with 14 points off 11 Wildcats turnovers. The Aggies had scored a combined 108 points in their previous two games, so it was a nice offensive turnaround.

Arkansas is in need of an offensive turnaround themselves, as they’ve scored 68 points or fewer in three straight games (all losses). I like the Razorbacks to at least flirt with the 70-point mark in this one, but if Texas A&M plays to their capabilities I think the Aggies cover.
