For the second NBA player prop piece on Tuesday, January 30, we have the Lakers vs Hawks Player Prop Bets. The Los Angeles Lakers are hoping to avoid the ninth defeat in 12 road games, while the Atlanta Hawks look to avoid the fifth loss in six games.

Lakers vs Hawks Player Prop Bets – Anthony Davis Over 37.5 Points and Rebounds (-110)

Anthony Davis is right behind LeBron James at the top of the scoring chart on the Lakers with 24.9 ppg. He leads the team in rebounds (12.1 rpg), blocks (2.3), and minutes per game (35.9). The minutes per game are actually the highest for Davis in the last six years.

The most important thing for Davis is that injuries didn’t trouble him this year, so he’s averaging a double-double per game with ease. After eight consecutive double-double displays, Davis failed to do so in a big loss to the Rockets, but I am pretty sure he will return to his usual DD performance against the Hawks.

Atlanta has the second-worst defense in the NBA, allowing 123.3 ppg, while the Hawks allow 23.9 ppg and 15.5 rpg to the opposing centers. Davis combined for 38+ PTS and REB in five of the past eight outings.

Clint Capela Over 9.5 Rebounds (-130)

For the second pick in the Lakers vs Hawks Player Prop Bets, we have another double-double machine. Clint Capela averages 11.3 ppg and 10.4 rpg this year – his seventh straight season in which he averages a double-double.

Backing Capela to get 10+ boards here makes sense even though he gets only 25.9 minutes per game. He is the tallest guy in the starting lineup for the Hawks, so this shouldn’t be a problem for Clint. Capela grabbed 10+ boards in four of the last six games despite logging below 28 minutes per game in that stretch.

The Lakers allow 44.1 rpg this season, while Los Angeles allows 15.2 rpg to the opposing centers. In 19 career games against the Lakers, Capela averaged 1.4 rpg. He didn’t foul out in a single game this season, so I’m confident he’ll stay long enough on the floor to get 10+ rebounds.
