In this article, we will formulate a Purdue vs Texas A&M – Corpus Christi Prediction for this college basketball game on Monday, November 4th, at Mackey Arena.
Purdue Looks Different
The Purdue Boilermakers comes into this season with expectations again, but they look a lot different from last year’s team. Zach Edey is gone for Purdue, as he’s moved on to the Memphis Grizzlies. They also ended up releasing Kanon Catchings from his commitment who was the 37th ranked recruit in the country, and he’s now moved onto BYU.
They also lost Mason Gillis, who moved on from Duke, and not having him is another big loss for the team. Braden Smith last year averaged 12 points per game and shot 43 percent from the field. They are going to need Smith to be even better this season, and hit even more shots from deep. The hope for Purdue in this game is they get some of the young guys some playing time, and they can figure out their rotations.
Can Corpus Christi Get Out To a Faster Start?
The Texas A&M – Corpus Christi Islanders got out to a slow start to the season, but they finished strong and ended up with a 21-12 record. The good news heading into this season is they have a lot of talent back from last year’s team. Garry Clark had a huge season last year, averaging 13.2 points per game while shooting 53.2 percent from the field. Jaden Walker is also in after playing the last couple of years for East Carolina. At one point, he was a four-star recruit, and the talent is there. Leo Torbor spent the last two season at New Mexico Junior College, averaging 12.4 points and 3.9 assists per game.

Purdue vs Texas A&M – Corpus Christi Prediction
If there is going to be one big upset on the first day, this has a chance to be it. This Texas A&M Corpus Christi team has a chance to be one of the best mid-majors in all of the country. Without Zach Edey, Purdue needs to find a new identity, and I don’t think they are going to find a lot is success here. This Islanders’ offense is talented, and they are going to end up covering the spread here. Back Texas A&M Corpus Christi against the spread.
