Brooklyn Nets vs Boston Celtics Player Prop Picks 11-13-24

The Celtics, sitting high in the Eastern Conference, are powered by Jayson Tatum, averaging 30.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. His efficient scoring and support from Jaylen Brown, who contributes 24 points per game, make Boston’s offense formidable. The Celtics also lead the league in three-pointers made, hitting 18.5 per game, which could create challenges for the Nets if they don’t defend the perimeter effectively.

The Nets, led by Cam Thomas with 24.5 points per game, rely on a more balanced offense. Their backcourt features Dennis Schröder, averaging 19.5 points and 6.2 assists, while Nic Claxton contributes strong defensive rebounding with 8 per game. With Bojan Bogdanovic out due to injury, the Nets may have to rely even more on Thomas and Schröder to keep up with the Celtics’ firepower.

Cam Thomas Over 23.5 Points

Cam Thomas has been one of the Brooklyn Nets’ standout scorers. He’s averaging 24.5 points per game over 11 games, shooting 43.4% from the field. From three-point range, Thomas has been hitting 34.9% of his attempts on an average of 7.5 attempts per game. His free-throw shooting has been efficient, connecting on 89.9% of his 6.3 attempts per game. Overall, his scoring efficiency and volume have been valuable for the Nets this season.

If the Nets want to stay in this game it’ll be crucial for Cam Thomas to have a big game scoring the ball. We saw these teams play back on November 8th and in that game Cam Thomas scored 31 points. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a similar result in this game. The Nets will most likely be playing from behind in this one which will force Cam Thomas to be aggressive on offense and put up shots.

Jaylen Brown Under 2.5 Three Pointers

Jaylen Brown’s three-point shooting in the 2024-25 NBA season has been a bit inconsistent. He’s currently averaging 1.9 made threes per game on 7.1 attempts, which translates to a 26.0% three-point shooting percentage. This is below the league average and his usual performance, which suggests he’s facing challenges finding rhythm from deep. Notably, Brown has had standout games with higher three-point efficiency, hitting up to 55.6% in specific matchups early in the season, although he has also had games where he struggled from beyond the arc.

In Jaylen Brown’s last eight games, he’s only made one three-pointer. I expect him to get back to his normal production from beyond the arc at some point but I don’t think this will be the game. The Nets have played great perimeter defense this season allowing 11.4 three-pointers to opposing teams which is the 2nd fewest in the league. It just hasn’t been Brown’s year from three and I’ll continue to fade him until he shows me something different.

Dennis Schroder Under 5.5 Assists

Dennis Schröder is having an impactful performance with the Brooklyn Nets. Through his first 11 games, he’s averaging 6.2 assists per game. He has displayed solid playmaking skills, contributing 7 or more assists in several games. For example, he had 8 assists against Memphis on October 30, 2024. Since then we’ve seen his assists number plummet with him getting 5 or fewer assists in 4 of his last 5 games.

I expect another slow night from Schroder when it comes to assists. This Celtics team has made it difficult for guards this season. They’re allowing 23.5 assists per game to opposing teams which is the 5th fewest in the league. I think this is a game where we’ll see Cam Thomas playing a lot of isolation ball and creating shots for himself rather than the Nets looking like a cohesive unit.
