Oklahoma City Thunder vs Phoenix Suns Player Prop Picks 11-15-24 Picks
This game between the Phoenix Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder highlights two top Western Conference teams with different styles. The Suns, led by stars Bradley Beal and Devin Booker, bring significant offensive firepower, while the Thunder’s dynamic roster, including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey, combines scoring with solid defense. Despite Phoenix’s talents, Oklahoma City’s strong start and home-court advantage give them a projected edge with the odds makers setting this line at -6.5.
Both teams are dealing with injuries with the Suns being without Kevin Durrant and the Thunder being without their big man Chet Holmgren. This is one of the marquee games on Friday night and I expect the stars will be ready to show out for the fans.
Devin Booker Over 28.5 Points
Devin Booker has been averaging around 23.8 points per game in the 2024-25 season with the Phoenix Suns. His shooting percentages include 43.9% from the field and 34.4% from three-point range, with about 2.8 three-pointers made on 8.2 attempts per game. He also shoots efficiently from the free-throw line at 86.8%, making 5.4 out of 6.2 attempts per game. Booker’s scoring impact has been consistent, and his offensive play has been vital for the Suns’ performance this season.
This is a high point total for Booker and a large reason for that is the fact Kevin Durrant will be out for this game. This puts Booker in the role to be the Suns leading scorer and he’ll need to if they want to have a chance to beat the Thunder. With the Suns being 6.5-point underdogs I expect them to be playing from behind which will force Booker to be more aggressive on offense.
Jusuf Nurkic Over 11.5 Rebounds
Jusuf Nurkic is averaging 10.2 rebounds per game for the Phoenix Suns. His rebounding includes 8.7 defensive rebounds and 1.5 offensive rebounds per game, making him a significant contributor to the Suns’ rebounding efforts. He is playing about 24.4 minutes per game, and his overall rebound rate reflects his efficiency on both ends of the floor.
Nurkic is a presence in the paint and is one of the best rebounders in the league. He has a favorable matchup against the Thunder who allow 60.3 rebounds per game to opposing teams which is the most in the league. With Chet Holmgren out Nurkic should clean up on the glass on Friday.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 30.5 Points
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been a standout performer for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Over 11 games, he is averaging 27.8 points per game, ranking 8th in the league. His shooting efficiency is notable, with a field goal percentage of 50.0%, placing him 48th among all players. Additionally, he contributes 5.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game, showcasing his all-around game. Gilgeous-Alexander’s scoring has been consistent, with 20 or more points in all but one game this season. His ability to score efficiently from various areas on the court has been a key factor in the Thunder’s success.
This is a good spot to take SGA to have a monstrous game. We’ve seen him fill up the stat sheet during big games. This Suns team has one of the best records in the league and will probably make this game close. A lot of the times Gilgeous-Alexander doesn’t hit his point total is when the Thunder are blowing a team out and he doesn’t get enough minutes. That won’t be the case in this one. I expect the Suns to keep things somewhat close with the guys they have on that roster which will force Gilgeous-Alexander to be on from start to finish.
