The Stetson Hatters and the Oklahoma Sooners meet Saturday in college basketball action from Lloyd Noble Center. Here’s an Oklahoma vs Stetson prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Oklahoma vs Stetson pick.

Stetson Hatters Betting Preview

The Hatters kicked off their 2024-25 season with a matchup against New College of Florida. Stetson got through that one on a 94-75 victory. Game two against Omaha was the Hatters’ first loss of the season, however, as they would fall in a tough one 79-76.

On Monday versus the Citadel, the Hatters took their biggest loss of the season thus far. Stetson was down 34-22 by the break, then carried a 10-point deficit the rest of the way for a 74-52 defeat. Jordan Wood was the only team player in double-figures with 11 points.

Oklahoma Sooners Betting Preview

Over on the Sooners’ side, they’ve only got two games in the can so far. Oklahoma’s opener was a pretty routine win over Lindenwood. The Sooners scored 50 second-half points in a 93-60 blowout. Jalon Moore topped the team with 22 points and seven rebounds.

Oklahoma didn’t have a ton of issues with Northwestern State in game two either—outside of a slow start, that is. The Sooners were down 34-28 at the break but stormed back on a 45-23 run for a 73-57 win. Moore led the team again with 23 points and seven boards this time.

Why the Oklahoma Sooners will win

  • Oklahoma has won 20 of its last 21-day games at Lloyd Noble Center against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Stetson has lost each of its last six Saturday day road games against non-conference opponents.
  • Oklahoma has won the first half in each of its last 13-day games at Lloyd Noble Center against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Why the Stetson Hatters will win

  • Stetson has won each of its last seven-day games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Oklahoma has lost five of its last six-day games.
  • Oklahoma has lost the first half in seven of its last eight games against non-conference opponents.

Oklahoma vs Stetson Prediction

I’ll just stay with Oklahoma. The Sooners have a couple of sizable wins in the bag so far, and this should be another fairly soft landing. Oklahoma did take a while to get going versus Northwestern State, but they’d eventually shoot 43.1 percent from the field with 32 rebounds and 16 steals on 20 Demons turnovers.

As for Stetson, they shot a spotty 35.7 percent from the field, 11.8 percent from 3-point range (2-of-17), and 52.6 percent (10-of-19) from the line in their loss to the Citadel. The 46-34 rebounding deficit didn’t help matters either. Stetson has an uphill battle here and I don’t think they’ll get too close in the end.
