Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

The Ole Miss Rebels are 6-0 this year after they defeated BYU by a score of 96-85 in overtime. The Rebels erased a three point deficit at the half to force overtime, where they scored 19 points for the win. Ole Miss shot 48.4% from the field, 29.4% on three pointers, and 80.6% on free throws in the game. Jaylen Murray led Ole Miss with 28 points and five assists in the game.

Prior to that win, the Rebels defeated Oral Roberts by a score of 100-68 and Colorado State by a score of 84-69. Ole Miss has scored 80.8 points per game and they have allowed 63 points against per game, while also averaging 36.4 rebounds and 16.8 assists per game this season. Sean Pedulla is averaging 14.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, while Ole Miss is shooting 44.2% from the field, 74.1% on free throws, and 35.9% on three pointers this year.

Purdue Boilermakers Betting Preview

The Purdue Boilermakers are 6-1 this season after they defeated NC State by a score of 71-61 in their last game. Purdue led 33-32 at halftime and was able to pull away in the second half for the comfortable win. The Boilermakers shot 42.6% from the field, 31.3% on three pointers, and 76.9% on free throws in the game. Trey Kaufman-Renn led Purdue with 22 points and eight rebounds in the win.

Prior to that game, the Boilermakers defeated Marshall by a score of 80-45, but did lose to Marquette by a score of 76-58 before that. Purdue has scored 79.8 points per game and they have allowed 67.7 points against per game, while also averaging 34 rebounds and 18.7 assists per game this season. Trey Kaufman-Renn is averaging 17.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, while Purdue is shooting 50.5% from the field, 70.5% on free throws, and 43% on three pointers this year.

Why Purdue will beat Ole Miss

  • Purdue has won each of its last 20 day games against non-Conference opponents.
  • Ole Miss has lost each of its last 15 games against AP-ranked opponents.
  • Purdue has won the first half in each of its last six day games against non-Conference opponents.

Ole Miss vs Purdue Prediction

Ole Miss comes into this game trying to stay undefeated on the season, but this will be their first real test of the year. The Rebels have beaten up on pretty below average teams to start the season, and they are only shooting 44% from the field. Purdue does have one loss on the season against Marquette, but they are shooting about 50% so far this year. I think Purdue is the way better team in this matchup and I like them to pull away in this game.
