In this article, we will formulate a Kings vs Predators Prediction for this NHL game on Saturday, March 15th at the Nationwide Arena. Let’s take a look at an LA Kings vs Nashville Predators pick.

What a Win for the Kings

The Kings made quite the statement in the last game against the Washington Capitals. Against a very good team, the defense gave up zero goals on the way to the victory. The Kings scored a goal in the first and two goals in the third. Kevin Fiala had a huge game, scoring a goal and adding an assist. Darcy Kuemper was in goal, and he was dominant, saving all 21 shots that he faced. The defense also stepped up and made it so they couldn’t pepper shots on goal. In this game, the goaltending is going to need to step up again.

The Kings on the season are averaging 2.86 goals while their defense is giving up 2.59 goals per game. The offense has been inconsistent at best, and that puts extra pressure on the defense. It’s honestly a bit shocking at this point of the season but in a good way because the Kings have zero players listed on the injury report. Darcy Kuemper is expected to start in goal for the Kings and he has confidence. He currently sits with a 21-8-7 record overall and is giving up 2.23 goals per game.

Predators on Tired Legs

The Predators are on tired legs after their game on Friday night against the Anaheim Ducks. On Tuesday, the Predators faced off against the San Jose Sharks, and they picked up a 3-2 victory. Filip Forsberg scored a goal and added an assist. Juuse Saros was in goal, and he saved 25 of the 27 shots that he faced. The goaltending is going to need to step up again here. Falling behind here also is going to spell some major problems at least in terms of their chances to come away with a victory.

The Predators are averaging 2.64 goals while their defense is giving up 3;2 goals per game. The offense is ranked 30th in the league, while the defense is ranked 26th. They take the 5th most shots in the NHL. Saros also got the start on Friday, so it’s hard to imagine he will start again here. Justus Annunen is expected to start here, and he sits with a 14-9 record overall and gives up 3.15 goals per game.

Kings vs Predators Prediction

Both of these teams have been playing pretty well heading into this game, and for that reason, we are going to stay away from the side. That being said, the Predators are playing on tired legs and now have to face off against a King’s defense and goaltending crew that is playing with confidence. The Kings are giving up 2.59 goals per game overall. The under is 5-0 in the King’s last five home games. The under is 9-1 in the Predators’ last 10 road games vs. a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600. Goals will be hard to come by, and the under will end up cashing.
