Series Recap

The Florida Panthers came out firing once again to take a 3-0 series lead by ending up with a 6-2 win over Carolina in game three. Niko Mikkola opened the scoring for Florida with the lone goal of the opening period before Logan Stankoven tied things at one with the only goal of the middle frame. The Panthers broke things open in the 3rd starting with a goal 1:29 into the third from Jesper Boqvist. Mikkola added his second of the game to push it to 3-1 at the 6:26 mark before Aleksander Barkov made it 4-1 just 29 seconds later. Barkov added another tally just 2:36 later to make it 5-1 before Brad Marchand made it 6-1 just 1:06 after that. Seth Jarvis added a consolation goal for Carolina just 24 seconds after that, but that’s as close as the Hurricanes would get the rest of the way as Florida rolled to a third straight win in the series.

Panthers vs Hurricanes Prediction

I’m on the Panthers here. I tried to get on board with the Hurricanes at some point in the series, but that ship looks like it sailed, as the Panthers have had the number of Carolina up to this point in the series. The Hurricanes just don’t have an answer. It feels like the end of the line for Carolina, and I think Florida gets back to the cup final once again. Give me the Panthers.
