The Miami Hurricanes and the Ole Miss Rebels meet Tuesday in college basketball action from the Pavilion. Here’s an Ole Miss vs Miami prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Ole Miss vs Miami pick.
Miami Hurricanes Betting Preview
The Hurricanes started out the season on a nice run, taking wins over Jacksonville, Bethune-Cookman and Stetson. Following their first loss of the year to Florida, Miami beat Elon and Delaware State in the next pair. The Hurricanes would lose again versus BYU, but then took out Georgetown in their last game. That gives Miami a 6-2 record across eight games this year.
In the Georgetown matchup on Friday, the Hurricanes came out of the break with a 41-20 advantage. Miami was outscored 45-37 the rest of the way but still came through with the double-digit win 78-65. Malik Reneau finished with 23 points and four boards, while Tru Washington had 17 points with six rebounds. Tre Donaldson added 13 points with six assists and four rebounds in the winning effort for the Canes.
Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview
Over on the Ole Miss side, they kicked off their 2025-26 campaign with a series of wins. The Rebels dispatched SE Louisiana, LA-Monroe, Memphis, Cal State Bakersfield and Austin Peay in the first five games. Since then however, it’s been consecutive losses for Ole Miss. Those two defeats have come courtesy of Iowa and Utah, giving Ole Miss a 5-2 record overall through seven games so far this season.
Matched up against Utah last Wednesday, the Rebels held a 42-34 deficit in the locker room. Ole Miss got better from there on a 40-33 run but it wasn’t enough in a 75-74 loss in the end. Malik Dia finished with 17 points and nine rebounds, and Ilias Kamardine had 15 points with three assists and two boards. Patton Pinkins added 14 points in 28 minutes during the losing effort as well.

Ole Miss vs Miami Prediction
I’ll take a stab on Ole Miss. You could probably call this one either way, though; it’ll be an interesting matchup. The Rebels started slowly versus a good Utah team in their last outing and couldn’t get it done in the end. Ole Miss did shoot well from the field (50 percent) and the line (82.4 percent on 14-of-17) but didn’t hit much from outside (four made shots) compared to Utah’s 10-of-19 effort from beyond the arc. The good news is that Ole Miss has posted a nice 69 or more points in every game so far this year; they’ve got a pretty solid offense.
As for Miami, they hit 58.8 percent from the field with a 33-29 rebounding edge versus Georgetown in their latest win, but did cough up 15 turnovers along the way in a sketchy ball-control effort. Still, it was a nice neutral-site win over a good opponent. Miami is scoring well themselves this year, but did put up a dud (62 points) versus BYU. Still, I like this one to be a fairly high total.
