The Oregon Ducks and the Indiana Hoosiers meet Monday in college basketball action from Bloomington Assembly Hall. Here’s an Indiana vs Oregon prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Indiana vs Oregon pick.
Oregon Ducks Betting Preview
This year the Ducks managed to go 8-6 over their first 14 games. The losses in that time were versus Auburn, San Diego State, Creighton, USC and UCLA. Oregon would hit a nice 4-1 stretch with a lone loss to Gonzaga after that, then lost to Rutgers, Ohio State, Nebraska, Michigan, Michigan State, Washington, UCLA and Iowa in the next eight. Over the first 22 games that gave the Ducks an 8-14 overall record.
On Saturday versus Purdue, the Ducks were down by two points 36-34 by the break. Oregon kept that pace going in the second on a 32-30 stretch and lost the game in the end 68-64. Leading scorer Nate Bittle posted 23 points with five rebounds and two assists while TK Simpkins had 14 points with three rebounds and three assists in the losing effort for the Ducks.
Indiana Hoosiers Betting Preview
Over on the Hoosiers’ side, they were sitting on a 12-3 record over their first 15 games early this year. Indiana lost to only Minnesota, Louisville and Kentucky in that time. The Hoosiers would then fall in order to Nebraska, Michigan State, Iowa and Michigan before picking it up again with victories versus Rutgers, Purdue and UCLA after that. Following a loss to USC, the Hoosiers were left with a 15-8 record in their first 23 games.
Matched up against Wisconsin on Saturday, the Hoosiers were out in front by halftime 36-30. Indiana was outscored 42-36 the rest of the way however, and had to go to overtime. In the end the Hoosiers would bag a tight win at home 78-77. The team’s leading scorer was Lamar Wilkerson on 25 points with four rebounds and four assists, while Sam Alexis added 19 points and seven boards.

Indiana vs Oregon Prediction
I’ll lean toward Indiana but you could make a case either way. The Hoosiers were able to eke out an overtime victory versus a pesky Wisconsin team over the weekend, posting 47.6 percent shooting from the field with 86.7 percent (13-of-15) from the line and a 44-28 edge on points in the paint. Indiana held the Badgers to just 38 percent shooting on defense as well, but it was still a very tight win. The Hoosiers are 4-1 in their last five games, with 72 or more points scored in all five of those outings.
As for Oregon, they couldn’t quite keep pace with a good Purdue squad in a road matchup on Saturday, despite shooting 44.4 percent from the field with a 30-24 edge on points in the paint. The Ducks weren’t great from outside (5-of-25 for 20 percent) and had 13 turnovers, though. Oregon has lost nine straight games, but to be fair a lot of those were very tough matchups against top-shelf teams.
