Heat vs. Pacers Prediction

The Pacers are still missing Tyrese Halliburton, Ben Sheppard, TJ McConnell, and Ivica Zubac, while the Heat are keeping an eye on Simone Fontecchio, who is listed as questionable. The Pacers haven’t gotten off to the start they were looking for, but there were certainly plenty of positives to take away from their tough loss to the 76ers in their last outing.

The Heat were ice-cold through their first four games, but they were clicking on offense for the first time, and they will be looking to build on their win over the Hawks. The Heat deserve to be favorites at home against a banged-up Pacers squad, but this line still seems a bit too high for me. The Heat probably get the win, but I don’t feel comfortable laying this many points with them until they string a few wins together.

Indiana Pacers Betting Preview

The Indiana Pacers are struggling for form as they’ve dropped three of their past four games overall, and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling just short to the 76ers in a 114-109 home defeat on Wednesday. Pascal Siakam led the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds on 11-of-17 shooting, Andrew Nembhard tallied 18 points with 14 assists, while Aaron Nesmith scored 18 points.

As a team, the Pacers shot 41 percent from the field and nine of 36 from the 3-point line as they dominated the third quarter by 36-13 to lead by 13 points after trailing by 15 points early on, but they couldn’t hold off the 76ers, who exploded for 39 points in the fourth quarter to snatch the game away at the end.

Miami Heat Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat endured a terrible start to the season as they lost their first four games, but they will be feeling much better after blowing past the Hawks in a 129-117 road win on Wednesday.  Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 24 points and 18 rebounds, Bam Adebayo added 24 points with nine rebounds, while Pelle LArsson chipped in with 17 points and eight assists off the bench.

As a team, the Heat shot 53 percent from the field and 11 of 29 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and poured in 69 points in the first half to take a 13-point lead into halftime. The game did tighten up in the second half when the Hawks cut their lead to just five points, but the Heat were relatively comfortable in what was easily their best offensive performance so far this season.
