The Air Force Falcons meet the Utah State Aggies Saturday in week 3 college football action from Falcon Stadium. Utah State is coming off a game versus North Dakota. In that one, the Aggies notched a blowout victory. As for Air Force, they played Navy in their last outing. The Falcons were able to put up a 20-point win in that game. Utah State opened up their year against Washington State. The Aggies were able to pull off a 26-23 comeback win in that one, outscoring the Cougars 15-3 in the fourth quarter. Utah State QB Logan Bonner managed 143 yards with one TD and one pick on 17-of-24 passing.

In game two versus North Dakota, Utah State was down 21-7 after the first quarter but surged from there in a 48-24 victory. Quarterback Logan Bonner posted 390 yards with four touchdowns and a pick, while Calvin Tyler notched 14 carries for 72 yards and a score.

Over on the Air Force side, they matched up against Lafayette in their first outing. The Falcons emerged victorious in that one 35-14. Air Force QB Haaziq Daniels rushed for 72 yards and three TDs, while Brad Roberts and Micah Davis combined for 212 yards and two more rush scores.

The Falcons played Navy in game two. Air Force took a 7-3 lead into halftime and ultimately secured a 23-3 win. Daniels had 49 pass yards and 51 rush yards with a TD in the victory. Roberts added 97 more rush yards with two scores on 29 carries.

The Aggies are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 in September and 2-5 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win. Utah State is 2-6 ATS in their last eight after a straight-up win as well.

Meanwhile, the Falcons are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 conference games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven in September. The under is 6-1 in Air Force’s last seven at home as well.

PICK: I like Utah State in this one. Granted, Air Force looked really good on defense in week two, holding Navy to just 68 total yards, 1.5 yards per play, six first downs and eight punts. The Midshipmen were just 1-of-14 on third and fourth down efficiency as well. Air Force wasn’t exactly explosive themselves though, with just 225 total yards.

As for Utah State they were dominant once again with 621 yards total and 8.3 yards per play. I like the Aggies to keep rolling in this one and tame that Falcons defense.
