The Auburn Tigers and the LSU Tigers square off Saturday night in an SEC college football tilt from Tiger Stadium.

The Auburn Tigers will look to build on their 34-24 win over Georgia State last time out. Bo Nix has thrown for 724 yards and 5 touchdowns on 61.2% passing while Tarik Bigsby has a team-high 403 rushing yards with 4 touchdowns and Jarquez Hunter isn’t far behind with 382 rushing yards and a pair of tDs as well. Kobe Hudson, Shedrick Jackson, John Samuel Shenker and Demetris Robertson each have 100+ receiving yards for Auburn this year while Chandler Wooten leads Auburn’s defense with 32 total tackles. T.D. Moultry also has a team-high 2.5 sacks while Marquis Burks and Eku Leota each have a pair of sacks this season.

The LSU Tigers will be out to build on their 28-24 win over Mississippi State in their last game. Max Johnson has thrown for 1,144 yards, 15 touchdowns and 3 picks on 64.4% passing while Corey Kiner and Tyrion Davis-Price each have 100+ rushing yards this season. Keyshon Boutte leads LSU’s receiving corps with 24 grabs for 309 yards while four more receivers for LSU have 100+ yards this season. On defense, Damone Clark leads the LSU defense with 42 total tackles while BJ Ojulari has a team-high 4.5 sacks and Andre Anthony has 3.5 sacks. Maason Smith also has 3 sacks for LSU on the year as LSU has 18 combined sacks this season.

Auburn is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 conference games. LSU is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a win and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 conference games while the over is 7-1 in their last 8 home games.

We’re starting to see Auburn come alive offensively as Bo Nix is figuring it out and the rest of Auburn’s offense has followed suit while LSU is doing pretty well in their own right. However, I can’t help but think this is a low-scoring, defense-first kind of game, leading us to a game that finishes well under the number. The SEC is the black and blue conference for a reason and I just see these two beating the snot out of each other in a first to 24 type of game. Give me the under.
