The Florida Atlantic Owls meet the Marshall Thundering Herd Saturday in week 10 C-USA college football action from FAU Stadium.

The Marshall Thundering Herd will be looking to add to their current three-game winning streak after a 38-0 win over FIU last time out. Grant Wells has thrown for 2,507 yards, 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions on 67% passing while Rasheen Ali leads Marshall’s ground attack with 808 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. Corey Gammage leads Marshall’s receiving group with 46 catches for 588 yards while Xavier Gaines, Willie Johnson and Shadeed Ahmed each have 350+ receiving yards. Another two Marshall pass-catchers have 200+ receiving yards and another three have at least 100 receiving yards this season. On defense, Abraham Beauplan has a team-high 64 total tackles while Eli Neal has 61 total tackles and a team-high 5 sacks. Steven Gilmore also has a team-high 3 sacks for the Herd this season.

The FAU Owls will be out to build on back-to-back wins after a 28-25 win over UTEP last time out. N’Kosi Perry has thrown for 1,845 yards, 15 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 60.3% passing while Johnny Ford leads the Owls in rushing with 496 rushing yards and 4 scores. Malcolm Davidson has 240 rushing yards while LaJohntay Wester has a team-high 37 catches for 462 yards and 4 scores. Je’Quan Burton has 341 receiving yards and Brandon Robinson has 291 receiving yards while another four FAU receivers have at least 100 receiving yards this season. On defense, Jordan Helm leads the Owls with 55 total tackles while Caliph Brice has 54 total tackles and Jaylen Joiner has a team-high 3 sacks. Teja Young, Zyon Gilbert and Korel Smith each have a pair of interceptions as well for this Owls defense.

Marshall is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 conference games. FAU is 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a win and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games as an underdog.

This should be a great game and I think the line reflects that being near a pick ‘em, but I’m still going to back FAU at home. I still have a bad taste in my mouth with Marshall from that loss to East Carolina where they allowed three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to lose a 17-point lead in an outright loss. FAU has played some of their best ball at home this season and I think this game ends up being no different as the Owls leave with a win.
