The Washington Huskies meet the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday in Pac-12 college football action from Husky Stadium. Arizona State is coming off a game versus USC this past weekend. In that one the Sun Devils bagged a 15-point victory. As for Washington, they played Oregon in their last game. The Huskies ended up losing by 10 points. Arizona State managed to win three of their first four games this season, losing to BYU and taking out Southern Utah, UNLV and Colorado. The Sun Devils would go 2-2 over the next four, with wins over UCLA and Stanford prior to losses versus Utah and Washington State.

In the USC game last weekend, the Sun Devils scored in every quarter on the way to a 31-16 win. QB Jayden Daniels was sketchy on 145 yards and two picks, but Rachaad White saved the day with his 202 rush yards and three scores off 28 carries.

Over on the Huskies’ side, they began their 2021 season with a 2-2 run that included victories versus Arkansas State and California. Washington had another 2-2 stretch in their next quartet, losing to Oregon State and UCLA before beating Arizona and Stanford on the road.

Washington had a matchup versus Oregon last weekend. The Huskies had a 9-3 lead after one quarter but then hit the skids in an eventual 26-16 loss. QB Dylan Morris finished with 111 yards and an interception. Sean McGrew led the rush with 15 carries for 48 yards and two TDs.

The Sun Devils are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight conference games. AZ State is also 3-7 ATS versus a team with a losing record.

Meanwhile, the Huskies are 2-5 ATS in their last seven after an ATS loss and 8-20 ATS in their last 28 conference games. Washington is also 1-5 ATS in their last six overall.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Arizona State, even though their win last weekend wasn’t exactly pretty. The Sun Devils posted 427 yards of offense against USC, with a whopping 282 of those coming on the ground. Arizona State managed 6.9 yards per play with a 5-of-10 mark on third- and fourth-down tries, but also coughed up three turnovers.

As for Washington, it’s tough to gauge them against a great Oregon team, as the Huskies put up just 166 yards of offense and seven first downs. Defensively Washington held on as long as they could but there was no stopping the Ducks with 329 rush yards. The Huskies should look better here but I like AZ State slightly more on the cover.
