The Buffalo Bulls and Northern Illinois Huskies clash Wednesday night in a week 12 college football MAC contest from UB Stadium in Buffalo, New York.

The Northern Illinois Huskies will be looking to build on a 30-29 win over Ball State in their last game. Rocky Lombardi has thrown for 2,117 yards, 13 touchdowns and 7 interceptions on 58.2% passing while Jay Ducker has 734 rushing yards with 3 touchdowns while Harrison Waylee has 574 rushing yards and 4 scores this season. Trayvon Rudolph leads NIU with 747 receiving yards while Tyrice Richie has a team-high 44 catches for 540 yards and Cole Tucker has 369 receiving yards this season. Another pair of Huskies have at least 100 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, CJ Brown leads the Huskies with 67 total tackles on the year.

The Buffalo Bulls will be looking to bounce back from a 45-18 loss at the hands of Miami-Ohio in their last game. Kyle Vantrease leads the Bulls with 1,861 passing yards, 8 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 61.5% passing while Dylan MCDuffie has 857 rushing yards to lead Buffalo. Ron Cook Jr. and Kevin Marks Jr. have a combined 797 rushing yards on the year while Quian Williams has a team0high 58 receptions for 788 yards and Dominic Johnson has 404 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, James Patterson has 93 total tackles and 4 sacks while Max Michel also has 4 sacks and Daymond Williams has a team-high 5.5 sacks this season. Kyler Laing also has 4.5 sacks on the year for Buffalo.

Northern Illinois is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 40-19-2 ATS in their last 61 road games while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record. Buffalo is 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games as a home underdog and 21-7-1 ATS in their last 29 home games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record.

The points with the Bulls are tempting considering the Bulls need a win here for bowl eligibility but the Huskies continue to play some of the best football in the MAC and I just don’t know how the Bulls slow them down here. The Bulls also haven’t been a very good cover team in recent games, so I’ll lay the small number with NIU on the road in this one.
