The Oregon Ducks and Eastern Washington Eagles square off Saturday in week 2 college football action from Autzen Stadium.

The Eastern Washington Eagles will look to build on their 36-29 win over Tennessee State to kick off the 2022 season. Gunner Talkington threw for 348 yards and 5 touchdowns on 29 of 46 passing while also leading the Eagles with 60 rushing yards in the win. Freddie Roberson had a team-high 6 grabs for 91 yards while Elton Chism III had 6 catches of his own for 53 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Nolan Ulm, Blake Gobel and Robert Mason III also had a touchdown reception each in the win. Tre Weed also added an interception for the Eastern Washington defense in the victory.

The Oregon Ducks will look to rebound after a humiliating 49-3 loss to Georgia to kick off their 2022 campaign. Bo Nix has thrown for 173 yards and a pair of interceptions on 56.8% passing while also rushing for 37 yards to lead the Ducks on the ground. Terrance Ferguson has a team-high 4 receptions for 37 receiving yards while Troy Franklin also has 3 grabs for 34 receiving yards this season. On defense, Jamal Hill has a team-high 11 total tackles with 9 solo tackles while Justin Flowe has 10 total tackles this season.

Eastern Washington is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games against the Pac-12 and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games while the over is 7-0-1 in their last 8 games against the Pac-12. Oregon is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against the Big Sky while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 home games against a team with a winning road record.

I get the reasoning for backing Oregon here as the Ducks will be out to get the bad taste out of their mouths from that Georgia game, but the reality is that I don’t trust Bo Nix as a starting QB for Oregon and neither should you. Eastern Washington doesn’t have the same pop it did in years past, but this is still a decent team that could show up to play and I think there’s value with Eastern Washington and the points.
