In that matchup the Bulldogs took a shutout victory. As for South Carolina, they played Arkansas last weekend. The Gamecocks would go on to lose by two scores. Georgia rolled right through Oregon in their opener game this year, cruising to a 49-3 blowout win. QB Stetson Bennett put up 368 yards with two scores on 25-of-31 passing. Kendall Milton topped the rush with 50 yards and a score, while Kenny McIntosh caught nine balls for 117 yards.

In their second game versus Samford, the Bulldogs got off to a 30-0 halftime lead. Georgia took their foot off the proverbial pedal from there and finished with a 33-0 win. QB Stetson Bennett posted 300 yards with a TD, and Kendall Milton rushed 10 times for 85 yards.

Over on the South Carolina side, they started a little slow versus Georgia State in their opener but eventually banged out a 35-14 victory. Spencer Rattler managed 227 yards with a TD and two picks, while Jalen Brooks led the receivers on four catches for 88 yards.

Matched up against Arkansas, the Gamecocks were within five points heading into the fourth quarter but ultimately lost 44-30. QB Spencer Rattler logged 376 yards with a TD and a pick. Antwane Wells led the receivers with 189 yards and a score off eight grabs.

The Bulldogs are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 after an ATS loss and 35-16 ATS in their last 51 road games. The under is 4-0 in Georgia’s last four overall.

Meanwhile, the Gamecocks are 4-1 ATS in their last five at home and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 after an ATS loss. South Carolina is 3-12 ATS in the last 15 conference games.

PICK: I might take a stab on South Carolina here. The Gamecocks were in the Arkansas game until late, and outside of a few areas their stats weren’t too bad. South Carolina put up 416 total yards, 6.1 yards per play and 22 first downs. They were just 3-of-10 on third-down tries however, and coughed up three turnovers.

As for Georgia, they rolled right along in game two like we all expected. The Bulldogs were pretty mellow in the second half though, which led to a victory of “only” 33 points. If Georgia does the same thing here the Gamecocks can probably eke out a cover.
