The Colorado Buffaloes and UCLA Bruins clash Saturday in week 4 PAC-12 college football action from Folsom Field. UCLA just finished up a matchup versus South Alabama over the weekend. In that game, the Bruins barely eked out a one-point win. As for Colorado, they played Minnesota in their last outing. The Buffaloes would go on to fall in a blowout. UCLA got their offense going right out of the gate this year, scoring in every quarter during a 45-17 opener win over Bowling Green. The Bruins kept up the high-flying attack in game two versus Alabama State, cruising to a 45-7 victory to go 2-0.

Back on Saturday versus South Alabama, the Bruins were in trouble late but rallied for nine points in the final quarter to eke out the 32-31 win. QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson posted 263 yards with three scores, and Zach Charbonnet rushed for 78 yards on 13 carries.

Over on the Colorado side, they were down just one point to TCU at halftime in their opener. The Buffaloes eventually lost that one 38-13, though. Game two was more of the same for the Buffaloes: they couldn’t score after the break in a 41-10 loss to Air Force.

Matched up against Minnesota in game three, the Buffaloes were down 35-0 by halftime and limped to an eventual 49-7 defeat. QB Owen McCown posted 52 yards on 4-of-7 passing, and Deion Smith led the rushers with 70 yards from his 10 totes.

PICK: I’m probably staying with UCLA here. The Bruins really looked like they were going to blow it against a sneaky-good South Alabama team back on Saturday, but they managed to pull out the win. UCLA bagged 407 total yards with 23 first downs and a 7-of-13 rate on third downs.

As for Colorado, they’re still searching for their form after the blowout loss to Minnesota. The Buffaloes posted just 226 total yards in that one along with 23:53 in time of possession. If UCLA is back to form this weekend, I don’t think Colorado will be able to keep up.
