Auburn managed a 3-1 run over their first four games, taking out Mercer, San Jose State and Missouri. Over their next six, the Tigers were just 1-5, falling in succession to LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Mississippi State before a win versus Texas A&M.

On Saturday versus Western Kentucky, the Tigers turned a 17-17 halftime tie into a 41-17 win with a 24-0 run in the second half. QB Robby Ashford had 102 pass yards, while Cartavious Bigsby did most of the work on 110 yards and two scores from 18 carries.

Over on the Tide’s side, they beat Utah State, Texas, LA-Monroe, Vanderbilt, Arkansas and Texas A&M before a close loss to Tennessee. Alabama would then beat Mississippi State, lose to LSU and beat Ole Miss in the next three.

Matched up against Austin Peay, Alabama didn’t have any trouble at all. The Tide were up 17-0 by halftime and scored in every quarter during a 34-0 shutout. QB Bryce Young managed 221 yards with two TDs, and Jase McClellan rushes 17 times for 156 yards and two scores.

The Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last four in November and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. Auburn is 4-1 ATS in their last five on grass.

Meanwhile, the Tide are 9-0 ATS versus a team with a losing record and 18-7 ATS in their last 25 at home. Alabama is 1-5 ATS in their last six overall.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Alabama. The Tide destroyed a decent Austin Peay team in their last outing, posting 527 total yards, (263 rushing) and 27 first downs. Alabama held the Governors to 206 total yards, 12 first downs and three turnovers on the other side. If there’s bad news, it’s that the Tide went a tepid 5-of-12 on third downs and gave away three turnovers.

As for Auburn, they buried Western Kentucky in the second half after something of a slow start last weekend. The Tigers rushed for 252 yards and controlled the ball well with zero turnovers. It’s a bit of a thick line here, though.
