The Kansas Jayhawks and Oklahoma State Cowboys meet Saturday in week 10 Big 12 college football action from KU Memorial Stadium. Oklahoma State is coming off a matchup versus Kansas State. The Cowboys ended up losing in a blowout. As for Kansas, they’re sitting at 5-3 overall and had a bye last weekend. Check back all season long for free college football picks at Sports Chat Place.

Oklahoma State opened up their season with five straight wins, taking out Central Michigan, Arizona State, AR-Pine Bluff, Baylor and Texas Tech. After a 43-40 OT loss to TCU, the Cowboys got another win versus Texas.

In the Kansas State game, Oklahoma State was completely shut down on the scoreboard, turning a 35-0 halftime deficit into a 48-0 blowout loss. QB Spencer Sanders had 147 yards and pick. Gunnar Gundy led the rush with five carries for 27 yards.

Over on the Kansas side, they hit a 5-0 run to start the season as well. The Jayhawks beat Tennessee Tech, West Virginia, Houston, Duke and Iowa State to start things off. Kansas would fall in the next three to TCU, Oklahoma and Baylor, however.

In the Baylor game back on October 22, the Jayhawks were down 28-3 by halftime. Kansas got better in the second half but couldn’t mount the comeback in a 35-23 loss. QB Jason Bean finished with 232 yards and a score, while Quentin Skinner caught four balls for 66 yards and a TD.

The Cowboys are 4-0 ATS in their last four after an ATS loss and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four in November. Oklahoma State is 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 road games.

Meanwhile, the Jayhawks are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five at home and 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven on turf. Kansas is 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight conference games.

PICK: I’m probably staying with Oklahoma State. The Cowboys really need to bounce back after that horrible game versus Kansas State last weekend, though. Oklahoma State posted just 217 total yards, 14 first downs and three turnovers in the defeat while giving up 495 total yards and 21 first downs on the other side.
As for Kansas, they had a rough time against Baylor in their last outing. The Jayhawks posted 288 yards of offense (56 rushing) with just 11 first downs, 19:50 in time of possession and two lost fumbles. Kansas has given up 35 or more points in each of the last three games, so Oklahoma State should have some solid scoring opportunities in this one.
