The Kansas Jayhawks and Texas Longhorns clash Saturday in week 12 Big 12 college football action from David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

The Texas Longhorns will be out to rebound from a 17-10 loss to TCU in their last game. Quinn Ewers has thrown for 1,507 yards, 13 touchdowns and 6interceptions on 55.2% passing. Bijan Robinson leads Texas in rushing with 1,158 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns this season. Xavier Worthy has 44 catches for 584 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns while Ja’Tavion Sanders has a team-high 46 grabs for 511 receiving yards and 5 TDs as well this season. Jordan Whittington also has 504 receiving yards as well on the year. On defense, Jaylan Ford has a team-high 91 total tackles including 50 solo tackles while Texas’ defense as a whole has 24 sacks this season.

The Kansas Jayhawks will try to bounce back from a 43-28 defeat at the hands of Texas Tech last time out. Jason Bean has thrown for 1,256 yards, 14 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 64.9% passing while Jalon Daniels has thrown for 1,072 yards, 11 touchdowns and an interception on 66.7% passing while also rushing for 335 yards. Devin Neal leads Kansas’ ground attack with 951 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns while Lawrence Arnold has a team-high 529 receiving yards on 31 catches with 4 touchdowns. Luke Grimm has a team-high 36 catches for 386 yards and 4 touchdowns and Quentin Skinner has 338 receiving yards and 5 scores this season. On defense, Kenny Logan Jr. has a team-high 80 total tackles while Lonnie Phelps has a team-high 6 sacks and Cobee Bryant has 3 interceptions.

Texas is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 conference games while the under is 11-5 in their last 16 games overall. Kansas is 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 10-2-1 ATS in their last 13 games overall while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record.

I get the reasoning for backing either side here, but I’m making the case for Kansas and the points. I just think this sets up as a bit of a letdown spot for Texas after such a disappointing performance last week and I think Kansas will be fully ready to take advantage whichever QB is under center for this one. If this line was under a touchdown, you could have an easier time convincing me Texas, but near double digits, I have to go Kansas here.
