Fresno State started out at 1-4 with losses to Oregon State, USC, UConn and Boise State. The Bulldogs would hit a win streak after that, taking out San Jose State, New Mexico, San Diego State and Hawaii in succession.

In the UNLV game back on Friday, the Bulldogs had a 16-14 deficit going into the break. Fresno State scored 23 second-half points on the way to a 37-30 comeback win. QB Jake Haener finished with 313 yards and three scores. Jordan Mims had 70 rush yards and a TD.

Over on the Nevada side, they won their first pair over New Mexico State and Texas State, then lost to Incarnate Word, Iowa, Air Force, Colorado State, Hawaii, San Diego State and San Jose State over the next seven outings.

Matched up against Boise State on Saturday, Nevada was down 21-3 going into halftime. The Wolf Pack gave up points in every quarter during a 41-3 loss. Shane Illingworth posted 123 passing yards, and Toa Taua rushed 16 times for 103 yards.

The Bulldogs are 6-2 ATS in their last eight in November and 3-8 ATS in the last 11 overall. Fresno State is 1-4 ATS in their last five road games.

Meanwhile, the Wolf Pack are 1-5 ATS in their last six conference games and 1-5 ATS versus a team with a winning record. Nevada is 1-7 ATS in their last eight overall.

PICK: I’m staying with Fresno State. The Bulldogs pulled off a pretty solid win over UNLV in their last outing, notching 21 first downs, 381 total yards and 6-of-12 on third-down tries along the way. Fresno State has been scoring very well lately, with 32 or more points in four straight games.

As for Nevada, they were beaten up by Boise State pretty badly in their last game. The Wolf Pack gave up 528 total yards and 25 first downs in that one and didn’t have much offense to speak of. This is going to be another tricky matchup for Nevada.
