The Notre Dame Fighting Irish come into their bowl game with a record of 8-4 in the regular season. Logan Diggs has 732 rushing yards and Chris Tyree also has 423 rushing yards as well this season. Michael Mayer leads Notre Dame’s receiving group with 67 grabs for 809 yards and 9 touchdowns while Lorenzo Styles also has 340 receiving yards as well. On defense, JD Bertrand has a team-high 74 total tackles while Isaiah Foskey has a team-high 11 sacks as well this season.

The South Carolina Gamecocks will be repping the SEC in this one after finishing the regular season with an 8-4 overall mark of their own. Spencer Rattler has thrown for 2,780 yards, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions on 66.6% passing while MarShawn Lloyd’s rushed for a team-high 573 yards and 9 touchdowns. Antwane Wells Jr. has a team-high 898 receiving yards and 63 receptions while Jalen Brooks has 504 receiving yards for the Gamecocks as well this season. On defense, Nick Emmanwori has a team-high 78 total tackles including 59 solo tackles while South Carolina’s defensive unit has combined for 18 sacks and 12 interceptions this season.

Notre Dame is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following an ATS loss and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games in December while the over is 6-0 in their last 6 games overall. I’m excited for this game, as these are two teams that came on strong to close out the year. That being said, I like the over a lot here as both teams have some momentum especially South Carolina to close things out with wins over Tennessee and Clemson by putting up a combined 94 points and Notre Dame’s offense is built to succeed against South Carolina’s defense which struggles to stop the run. All in all, I like the over to hit in this one.
