The UNLV Rebels and Fresno State Bulldogs clash Friday in week 11 MWC college football action from Allegiant Stadium. Fresno State is coming off a matchup versus Hawaii. In that game, the Bulldogs managed a blowout win. As for UNLV, they played San Diego State in their last game. The Rebels lost by four. Fresno State beat Cal Poly in their first game of the year. The Bulldogs then hit a losing streak versus Oregon State, USC, UConn and Boise State. The next three games were victories for Fresno State versus San Jose State, New Mexico and San Diego State.

In the Hawaii game, the Bulldogs were up 41-0 going into the final quarter and cruised to a dominant 55-13 victory. QB Jake Haener put up 327 yards with four scores, and Jordan Mims managed 123 yards and a TD from 18 carries.

Over on the UNLV side, they started the year out at 4-1 with wins over Idaho State, North Texas, Utah State and New Mexico (and a loss to California). The Rebels hit the skids after that with losses to San Jose State, Air Force and Notre Dame.

Matched up against San Diego State, the Rebels were down 14-7 going into the fourth quarter. UNLV couldn’t make the comeback in a 14-10 loss. QB Dough Brumfield finished with 207 yards, one TD and two picks. Aidan Robbins carried 21 times for 115 yards to lead the rush.

The Bulldogs are 6-1 ATS in their last seven in November and 5-2 ATS in their last seven conference games. Fresno is 23-11-1 ATS in their last 35 road games.

Meanwhile, the Rebels are 4-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS win and 4-1 ATS in their last five in November. UNLV is 1-4 ATS in their last five Friday games.

PICK: I’m staying with Fresno State. It’s tough not to pick the Bulldogs after their dominating performance over the weekend. Fresno posted 572 total yards with 27 first downs, no turnovers, one penalty and a nice 8-of-12 run on third-down tries.

As for UNLV, they were pretty flat in their loss versus San Diego State, giving up four turnovers with 325 total yards and 14 first downs on offense. The Rebels may be able to keep the pace initially but I like Fresno State to power out the cover.
