The Blue Bombers offense will be one of the best in the league thanks to 2021 MVP at quarterback in Zach Collaros and last year’s MOP in running back Brady Oliveira. The return of wide receiver Dalton Schoen is also a nice boost, as he has 26 touchdowns on 142 receptions. Once Collaros returns from suspension, the Blue Bombers will remain one of the most fun teams in the league to watch due to their scoring ability.
Defensively, the Blue Bombers have questions in the secondary, but the unit is still led by defensive lineman Willie Jefferson, who was 2019 MODP and has 68 sacks and 20 forced fumbles for his career. Devin Adams is back after four sacks last season, and Evan Holm returns after leading Winnipeg with 89 tackles. The Blue Bombers have made the Grey Cup in each of the last five years, so there’s no reason to doubt this franchise and what they’re capable of when rolling.

On the surface, the Blue Bombers as a home dog is intriguing, but this line is what it is because of the suspension of quarterback Collaros. I also like that BC has a game under its belt, as there’s an advantage there, as the Lions have had a chance to find their footing.
With that said, I’m grabbing the points with the Blue Bombers. Quarterback issues or not, there’s enough playmakers on both sides of the ball to pick up the slack. Also, don’t sleep on Chris Streveler, as he’s a vet who bounced around the CFL and NFL, and he led the CFL in rushing touchdowns twice. Streveler can make plays with his legs and extend drives. This is an overreaction from oddsmakers. Give me the Blue Bombers and the points.
