The Line: San Diego State Aztecs -4 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The New Mexico Lobos and San Diego State Aztecs will meet Saturday night in their last regular season game. These teams met back on February 22, and New Mexico won 58-44.
That victory was part of the Lobos current six-game winning streak, as they have a chance to win the Mountain West. During their winning streak, they’re averaging 69 points on 47.3 percent shooting and are allowing 53.6 points on 34.2 percent shooting. They haven’t allowed more than 58 points in their last five games. On the road, they average 73.9 points and allow 66.4 points. They are 14-11 ATS overall and 8-5 ATS on the road.
The Aztecs have won five of their last six games and could also win the Mountain West with a victory. During their last five games, they’re scoring 69.8 points on 44.6 percent shooting and are allowing 59.6 points on 41.6 percent shooting. Their offense has stepped up a bit as of late, as they’ve scored above 80 points twice in their last three games. At home, they average 69.2 points and allow 54.2 points. They are 16-10 ATS overall and 6-6 ATS on their home court.
This is an interesting line, and many are going to be on the Aztecs due to their impressive resume at home. However, I love the way the Lobos have been playing recently at both ends of the floor, and I think they can keep this close again, if not sweep San Diego State in the season series.
New Mexico is 6-0 ATS in its last six road games and has covered the spread in five of the last six meetings against the Aztecs. The Aztecs have covered the spread in four of their last five, but the Lobos have simply been crushing the competition lately, while San Diego State has been a little shaky.
Give me the points, please.
