The Tulane Green Wave and the UCF Knights meet Friday in college basketball action from CFE Arena.

Tulane enters this one at 8-7 so far. The Green Wave are 1-2 in their last three games and coming off a win over Tulsa. As for UCF, they’re sitting at 5-10 this year. The Knights are 1-4 in the last five games and coming off a loss to Wichita State. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Tulane started out their year at 6-2 with losses to Memphis and East Carolina. After a three-game losing streak to Houston and Temple, the Wave beat Temple, then fell to Wichita State and Cincinnati. Tulane managed a 10-point win over Tulsa on Wednesday.

In the 58-48 win over Tulsa, Tulane’s Jaylen Forbes put up 20 points with six rebounds to lead the team. Jadan Coleman was the only other team player in double-figures there with 13 points and two rebounds in 14 minutes on the floor.

Over on the UCF side, they went 3-6 in their first nine outings with wins over Auburn, Florida State and Cincinnati. After a win over East Carolina, the Knights lost to Memphis and beat Tulsa before falling to Wichita State in their last game.

In the 61-60 loss to the Shockers, UCF’s Darius Perry led the way on 27 points with four rebounds and two assists. Dre Fuller chipped in nine points and six boards with one assist, and both CJ Walker and Brandon Mahan added seven points apiece.

The Knights are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games and 17-7 ATS in their last 24 Friday games. UCF is 4-0 ATS in their last four home games versus a team with a losing road record and the under is 4-1 in the last five versus a team with a winning straight-up record.

Meanwhile, Tulane is 4-0 ATS in their last four overall and 15-6 ATS in their last 21 road games. The Wave are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 after a straight-up win and the under is 5-1 in their last six Friday games.

PICK: I like UCF here. The Knights’ recent record doesn’t look great, but they’ve been close in several games against some tough teams. UCF was right with Wichita State in their two games but really couldn’t do anything against a great Memphis squad. Tulane hasn’t scored that well lately with 67 points or fewer in each of their last three. This looks like a good spot for a low-scoring UCF cover.
