The Trojans have won consecutive games versus UC Irvine and Santa Clara. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.
Colorado opened up the year with wins over South Dakota and Kansas State before falling 56-47 to a good Tennessee team. The Buffaloes bounced back with wins over Northern Colorado, Omaha, Washington and Grand Canyon in their next four outings, but lost to Arizona 88-74 on Monday.
In the loss to the Wildcats, Colorado’s Evan Battey led the team on 18 points with two rebounds. Maddox Daniels managed 12 points with two rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes, and McKinley Wright added 10 points with five rebounds and four assists for the Buffaloes.
Over on the USC side, they kicked things off with three straight wins over California Baptist, Montana and BYU. The Trojans took a tough 61-58 loss to Connecticut in their next game, but then rattled off wins over UC Irvine 91-56 and Santa Clara 86-63 in their most recent pair of outings.
In the big win over the Broncos, USC’s leading scorer was Evan Mobley with 17 points and seven rebounds. Both Isaiah Mobley and Tahj Eaddy notched 13 points apiece, combining for two assists and 13 rebounds. Chevez Goodwin managed 10 points with five rebounds in 19 minutes on the court as well.
USC is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 after an ATS win. The Trojans are 4-1 ATS in their last five Thursday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Meanwhile, the Buffaloes are 1-6 ATS in their last seven after an ATS loss and 0-5 ATS in their last five Thursday games. Colorado is 13-40 ATS in their last 53 road games and the under is 5-2 in their last seven overall.
PICK: I’m going to stick with USC. This should be a pretty good matchup, though. Colorado has been scoring well this season with 74 or more points in seven of eight games. The Trojans have hit 76 or more themselves in five of six games, so this should be a pretty high-scoring outing for both squads. I like this one to stay close most of the way, with plenty of lead changes and USC eking out a late cover. Should be a fun one to watch.
