The Nevada Wolf Pack and the Wyoming Cowboys meet in college basketball action from the Arena-Auditorium on Friday night.

The Nevada Wolf Pack will look to build off of a 79-65 win over Fresno State last time out. Grant Sherfield leads the Wolf Pack in scoring and assists with 18.7 PPG with 5.7 APG along with 4 RPG while Desmond Cambridge Jr. has 15.1 PPG with 4.7 RPG and 2.7 APG to make up the duo of double-digit scorers for Nevada coming into this game. Zane Meeks has 9.1 PPG with a team-high 5.9 RPG and William Washington has 8.6 PPG with 5.1 RPG this season. As a team, Nevada is averaging 71.6 PPG on 44.5% shooting from the field, 34.8% from 3-point range and 75% from the foul line while giving up 65.9 PPG on 39.5% shooting from the field and 32% from 3-point range this season.

The Wyoming Cowboys will look to build off of a 77-58 win over Air Force last time out. Marcus Williams leads the Cowboys in scoring with 16.3 PPG while Huner Maldonado has 14.1 PPG with team-highs of 6.5 RPG and 5.2 APG to make up Wyoming’s pair of double-digit scorers up to this point in the season. Kenny Foster has 9.9 PPG and Kwane Marble II also has 9 PPG for the Cowboys this season. As a team, Wyoming is averaging 78 PPG on 45.8% shooting from the field, 37.9% from 3-point land and 71.4% from the foul line while giving up 75.2 PPG on 47.5% shooting from the field and 32.6% from 3-point range this season.

Nevada is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record. Wyoming is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record. The road team is 10-2 ATS in the last 12 meetings between these two teams.

I’ve been trying to get myself to make a case for Wyoming as a home dog in conference play like this is tempting. However, Wyoming’s burned me too many times to count lately and prior to their last game they hadn’t covered in 6 of the previous 7 games. Nevada’s been playing really well on the road this season and have also covered the number in 6 straight so I’ll back the in-form Wolf Pack and lay the points in this one.
