The San Jose State Spartans and the Stanford Cardinal meet in college basketball action from Maples Pavilion on Monday night.

The San Jose State Spartans will be looking to build on a 78-76 win over Cal State Fullerton last time out. Trey Smith and Shon  Robinson share the team-high with 14 PPG with Robinson loggin 4 RPG while Smith has 3 APG. Caleb Simmons has 11 PPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for San Jose State Ibrahima Diallo has 8 PPG and a team-high 8 RPG while Trey Anderson has 9 PPG and Omari Moore has 8 PPG and a team-high 8 APG this season. As a team, San Jose State is averaging 78 PPG on 45.9% shooting from the field, 50% from three and 66.7% from the foul line while allowing 76 PPG on 52.9% shooting from the field and 33.3% from three this season.

The Stanford Cardinal will be out to bounce back from an 88-72 loss at the hands of Santa Clara in their last game. Harrison Ingram leads the Cardinal with 17.5 PPG along with 6.5 RPG while Jaiden Delaire has 10 PPG and 5.5 RPG this season. Maxime Raynaud has 9 PPG and a team-high 8 RPG while Isael Silva and Michael O’Connell each have 8.5 PPG with O’Connell logging a team-high 3 APG and 2.5 SPG this season. As a team, Stanford is averaging 67 PPG on 40.7% shooting from the field, 28.3% from three and 78.1% from the foul line while allowing 69 PPG on 50.5% shooting from the field and 38% from three this season.

San Jose State is 17-37-2 ATS in their last 56 road games and 7-15-1 ATS in their last 23 games overall while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games following a win. Stanford is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the over is 9-2 in their last 11 home games.

The Cardinal may be the better team here, but I don’t want any part of either team with how they’ve both looked early on, so I’m leaning towards the under here. I think this is a spot where San Jose State struggles once again, but Stanford won’t be able to compensate enough to push this one over the number so I’m sticking firm on the under here.
