Clemson vs Charleston Southern 11/26/2021 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Charleston Southern Buccaneers and the Clemson Tigers meet Friday in college basketball action from Littlejohn Coliseum. Charleston Southern enters this one at 2-3 so far. The Buccaneers lost to Georgia Tech in their last game. As for Clemson, they’re 4-2 this year and lost to West Virginia in their last outing. Charleston Southern took a win over Johnson & Wales (NC) in their opener, then lost to Ole Miss and Wake Forest. The Bucs then posted a blowout 119-63 win over Bob Jones to get their record back to .500 on the year. 

In the Georgia Tech game, Charleston Southern fell behind 42-29 at halftime and couldn’t get any closer in an 85-70 loss. Tahlik Chavez led the team with 15 points, five assists and three rebounds. Deontaye Busked added 11 points and three boards. 

Over on the Clemson side, they didn’t have any issues in their first four games. The Tigers kicked off the year with wins over Presbyterian, Wofford, Bryant and Temple. Game five was Clemson’s first loss, a tough 68-65 result versus St. Bonaventure. 

Back on Sunday, the Tigers took on West Virginia. Clemson was outscored 31-25 in the second half during a 66-59 defeat. Al-Amir Dawes was the leading Tigers scorer on 18 points, five rebounds and two assists. 

Clemson is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Friday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. The Tigers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven after an ATS loss. 

Meanwhile, the Bucs are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games and 10-21 ATS in the last 31 overall. Charleston Southern is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 after a straight-up loss.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Clemson in this one. The Tigers did a solid job shooting against West Virginia in their last game with 55 percent from the floor. Clemson only took 40 shots though. The Tigers were also out-rebounded 31-27 and coughed up 20 turnovers. 

As for Charleston Southern, they shot pretty well in their last game (44.1 percent) against Georgia Tech, but still couldn’t keep up on offense. I like this one to be another higher-scoring game, with Clemson covering.
