San Francisco vs Gonzaga 2/24/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Gonzaga Bulldogs and the San Francisco Dons meet Thursday in college basketball action from War Memorial Gym. Gonzaga enters this one at 23-2 overall. The Bulldogs took out Santa Clara in their last game. As for San Francisco, they’re currently 22-7 and fresh off a win over Pacific. Gonzaga lost two of their first nine games this year, falling to Duke and Alabama. The Bulldogs have surged since then; they haven’t lost since December 4 in a span of 16 games. The latest victory came this past weekend over Santa Clara. 

Matched up against Santa Clara on Saturday, the Bulldogs hit a 41-31 run in the first half and finished off with a 40-38 advantage in an 81-69 win. Drew Timme was the leading scorer on the team with 23 points, nine rebounds and three assists. 

Over on the San Francisco side, they hit a 10-0 run to start off the year and have only lost consecutive games once so far. The Dons are 3-1 in their last four outings with victories over Pepperdine, Santa Clara and Pacific. 

In the Pacific game back on Monday, the Dons jumped out to a 48-24 halftime advantage. San Francisco finished off with 56 second-half points in a 104-71 victory. Khalil Shabazz led the team on his 21 points and four rebounds in 28 minutes of work. 

The Dons are 1-4 ATS in the last five at home and 6-21 ATS in the last 27 after a straight-up win. San Francisco is 19-39-1 ATS in their last 59 after an ATS win.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine road games and 7-3-2 ATS in their last 12 overall. Gonzaga is 4-0-1 ATS in the last five Thursday games. 

PICK: I’m going to stay with Gonzaga. The Bulldogs haven’t really had any scares over this winning streak; they’re beating teams convincingly as they roll their way toward the national tournament. The last time these teams met up back on January 20, Gonzaga came up with a 78-62 victory at home. Considering the Bulldogs have scored 69 or more points in each game during this winning streak, it’s unlikely they’ll have too many issues scoring in this one. Should be a fun matchup but Gonzaga looks to be in full control.
