The Bucknell Bison and the Georgia Bulldogs meet Friday in college basketball action from Stegeman Coliseum. Bucknell is sitting at 2-1 overall following a Tuesday loss to Saint Peter’s. As for Georgia, they’re 2-1 on the season. The Bulldogs took out Miami-OH in their last game. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Bucknell didn’t have any issues in their first matchup of the season versus Lebanon Valley. The Bison scored 63 points in the second half in a 113-52 win there. As for game two, Bucknell managed to take out Niagara 68-50.

On Tuesday versus Saint Peter’s, Bucknell was down 40-35 by the break. The Bison didn’t get any closer after the second half and took a loss 82-71. Xander Rice led the team with 19 points, and Andre Screen added 18 points with three rebounds.

Over on the Georgia side, their year began with a November 7 matchup versus Western Carolina. The Bulldogs managed a win 68-55 to go 1-0. Georgia couldn’t topple Wake Forest in game two though, and took an 81-71 loss.

On Monday versus Miami-OH, the Bulldogs were ahead 38-28 at halftime. Georgia was outscored 42-39 from there but still took a 77-70 victory. Terry Roberts led the way on 22 points, while KyeRon Lindsay doubled up on 14 points and 10 boards.

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Georgia, but I’m probably not going near it. The Bulldogs didn’t shoot spectacularly well against Miami-OH in their last game (39.7 percent) and coughed up 18 turnovers in the win. That said, Georgia did a nice job on the boards with a 42-27 rebounding advantage (18-8 offensive). If Georgia can out-muscle the Bison on the boards here, I think the Bulldogs will be okay on a cover.
