The UAB Blazers and the Georgia Bulldogs meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Ocean Center. UAB enters this game at 3-1 overall. The Blazers beat South Florida in their last outing. UAB managed an easy win over Alabama State in their opener, taking the victory 111-70. The Blazers fell to Toledo 93-85 in game two, but were able to bounce back with a 92-61 blowout win over Presbyterian last week.

On Monday versus South Florida, UAB posted a 42-37 advantage by halftime. The Blazers scored 38 more points from there in an 80-65 win. Leading the way was Jordan Walker with 15 points, five assists and three rebounds.

Over on the Georgia side, they kicked off their season with a 68-55 win over Western Carolina. The Bulldogs took a loss to Wake Forest in game two 81-71. Georgia managed consecutive wins over Miami-OH and Bucknell in their next pair.

Georgia played Saint Joseph’s in their Monday game. The Bulldogs held the Hawks to just 15 points in the first half and were able to power out a 66-53 win. Georgia’s Kario Oquendo finished with 15 points, and Terry Roberts added 12 points and five assists.

PICK: I’m going to try Georgia here. The Bulldogs didn’t shoot very well in their Monday game versus Saint Joseph’s, hitting just 33.9 percent from the field. That said, Georgia won the rebounding battle 45-32 (14-8 offensive) and held Saint Joseph’s to 36.8 percent from the field. It’ll be interesting to see if UAB can crank up the tempo here, but I like Georgia better on the potential cover.
