Siena vs Florida State 11/24/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Florida State Seminoles and the Siena Saints meet Thursday in college basketball action from HP Field House. Florida State is 1-4 on the year so far. The Seminoles got their first win over Mercer on Monday. As for Siena, they’re currently 2-2 and coming off a loss to Harvard. Florida State got off to a rough start this year with four straight losses. First came an 83-74 defeat by Stetson, then a 68-54 loss to UCF. The Seminoles fell to Troy 79-72 in game three, then lost versus Florida 76-67. 

In Monday’s game versus Mercer, Florida State was up 42-34 by halftime. The Seminoles kept the pace up in the second half and took an 81-72 win. Tops in scoring was Cam’Ron Fletcher with 23 points and six boards. 

Over on the Siena side, they kicked off the season with a couple of victories in their first two games. The Saints took out Holy Cross 75-68 and Albany 75-62. Game three was a close loss 96-94 versus Army. 

Siena took another loss in Sunday’s game versus Harvard. The Saints were down by eight points going into the second half and didn’t get any closer in a 69-59 loss. Andrew Platek was the top scorer on 15 points, and Jackson Stormo added 12 points. 

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Florida State. Probably not touching this one, though; it’s been a rough run so far for the Seminoles. That said, Florida State played their best ball of the season in Monday’s game versus Mercer, notching 46.7 percent shooting from the field, 11 blocks, 17 assists and 40 rebounds. Florida State is going to have to post a nice points total in this one, since Siena has hit 75 or more in three of their four games. If the Seminoles can do that, I think they’ll be okay on a cover.
