North Alabama vs Central Arkansas Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 1/21/23

The Central Arkansas Bears and the North Alabama Lions meet Saturday in college basketball action from Flowers Hall. Central Arkansas is sitting at 6-15 overall. As for North Alabama, they’re currently 11-10. This will be a rematch of Wednesday’s game, in which North Alabama pulled off a five-point victory. Central Arkansas Bears 

Central Arkansas won just five of their first 14 games over Hendrix, Little Rock, Rider, Idaho State and Arkansas State. The Bears have since gone just 1-5 with losses to FGCU, Eastern Kentucky, Austin Peay, Liberty and North Alabama. 

Matched up against North Alabama on Wednesday, the Bears were tied up at 37 by halftime. Central Arkansas scored another 36 points in the second half in a 78-73 defeat. Camren Hunter tripled up on 20 points with 11 assists and 12 rebounds. 

North Alabama Lions 

Over on the North Alabama side, they lost five of their first 14 games versus MS Valley State, UCSB, Memphis, Georgia Tech and Colorado. The Lions are 1-5 since then with losses to Bellarmine, Lipscomb, Stetson, Liberty and Queens NC. 

On Wednesday in the Central Arkansas game, North Alabama overcame the halftime tie with 41 points in the second half on the way to the five-point win. Jacari Lane led the team on his 19 points and four assists. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’ll probably stick with North Alabama in this one. Probably staying away, though. The Lions haven’t been playing all that well lately; they’ve lost five of the last six outings with fewer than 70 points scored in three of those five. The good news is that this game is back in the familiar confines of Flowers Hall, so North Alabama should be able to notch a solid points total here. Barring some cold shooting from the Lions, I don’t see Central Arkansas keeping pace.
