North Florida vs Queens Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 1/19/23

The Queens NC Royals and the North Florida Ospreys meet Thursday in college basketball action from UNF Arena. Queens NC is currently 13-6 overall. The Royals beat North Alabama in their last game. Queens NC Royals 

Queens managed a solid 11-3 run over their first 14 games, losing to La Salle, George Mason and Nebraska in that time. The Royals are 2-3 in their last five, falling to Eastern Kentucky, Kennesaw State and Central AR. 

On Saturday versus North Alabama, the Royals jumped out to a 56-32 halftime edge. Queens NC kept up the pressure on a 51-46 run from there and won 107-78. Kenny Dye led the team on his 18 points and seven assists. 

North Florida Ospreys

Over on the North Florida side, they started at 6-8 with wins over SC State, Trinity Baptist, Bethune-Cookman (twice), D&E and Austin Peay. The Ospreys are 1-3 since then with losses to FGCU, Jacksonville State and Kennesaw State. 

In the Saturday matchup versus Kennesaw State, the Ospreys were up 40-32 going into the second half. North Florida gave up 54 points from there and lost it 86-72. Carter Hendricksen led the team on 20 points with four rebounds.

I’m going to stick with Queens NC here. The Royals have gone just 2-3 over their last five games, however they’ve been competitive in the recent losses. Queens NC has scored 67 or more points in seven straight games and shouldn’t have too many issues posting a respectable total here. As for North Florida, they’ve had a few bright spots this season but overall it’s been an inconsistent run so far. The Ospreys should be able to keep pace if they get off to a good start, but I don’t think they’ve got the endurance to cover.
