In the tournament matchup versus Texas Southern, the Braves were up 30-27 going into the second half. Alcorn State was outscored 39-32 from there and lost 66-62. Byron Joshua was the top team scorer with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK
I’ll take a stab on Alcorn State here. The Braves didn’t play very well against Texas Southern in their lone SWAC Tournament matchup, so they’ll need a good bounce-back effort in this one. Alcorn State has just 125 combined points in their last two outings, however they’d hit 70 or more in four straight prior to that. As for North Texas, they’ve eclipsed 69 points just once over their last five games—the Mean Green are a better offensive team than that, however. I like this one to be a fairly high total with Alcorn State ultimately pulling off the cover.
