St. Francis-PA vs Fairleigh Dickinson Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 2/23/23

Fairleigh Dickinson Knights 

Fairleigh Dickinson kicked off the year on a 12-10 run. The Knights have since gone 4-3 in their last seven with wins over St. Francis PA, Merrimack, LIU and Wagner. The losses came versus Wagner, Sacred Heart and Central CT State in that time. 

In the Wagner matchup on Saturday, the Knights were up 37-33 by halftime. Fairleigh Dickinson hit a 29-15 run in the second and cruised to the 66-48 victory. Tops in scoring was Demetre Roberts with 20 points and five assists. 

St. Francis PA Red Flash

Over on the St. Francis PA side, they had a sketchy opening this year on an 8-12 run through 20 games. The Red Flash are just 3-4 in their last seven, falling to Central CT State, Stonehill and Merrimack (twice) in that time. 

The Red Flash were able to get a win on Saturday versus LIU. St. Francis PA scored 45 points in the first half and 48 points in the second on the way to a 93-82 result in that one. Maxwell Land topped the team on 21 points with four rebounds. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’m going to stick with Fairleigh Dickinson. The Knights have been on a pretty nice scoring run lately; they’ve hit 66 or more points in seven straight outings and they’ve been competitive in their losses during that time. These teams last saw each other back on January 26 at Rothman Center. Fairleigh Dickinson was able to power out an 87-82 victory in that one, however this road rematch will be a tricky one. That said, I like the Knights to power out the cover/win in a competitive game.
