Texas A&M vs Florida Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 1/18/23

The Florida Gators and the Texas A&M Aggies meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Reed Arena. Florida is sitting at 10-7 overall. The Gators beat Missouri in their last game. Florida Gators 

Florida was 7-7 after 14 games this year, losing to FAU, Xavier, West Virginia, UConn, Oklahoma, Auburn and Texas A&M. The Gators have beaten Georgia, LSU and Missouri in consecutive games since then. 

In the Missouri game on Saturday, the Gators took a 28-28 tie into the second half. Florida hit a 45-36 run from there and won it 73-64. Will Richard posted 18 points and Colin Castleton doubled up on 16 points with 13 rebounds. 

Texas A&M Aggies 

Over on the Texas A&M side, they were 9-5 after 14 games with losses to Colorado, Murray State, Boise State, Memphis and Wofford. The Aggies have since beaten LSU, Missouri and South Carolina in consecutive outings. 

On Saturday matched up against South Carolina, Texas A&M drilled the Gamecocks 50-18 in the first half. The Aggies kept it up with 44 more points and took the blowout win 94-53. Wade Taylor was the high scorer on 20 points and five rebounds.

I’ll probably stick with Texas A&M here. The Aggies are coming off a dominant win over South Carolina, shooting a nice 54.8 percent from the field with a 48-16 rebounding advantage (20-5 offensive). The Aggies are riding a six-game win streak with 66 or more points scored in five of those outings. As for Florida, they’re on a solid three-game win streak themselves with 67 or more points scored in each of those. This one should end up a high total if both teams get going. I like Texas A&M better on the cover, though.
