Air Force vs Boise State Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 1/31/23

The Boise State Broncos and the Air Force Falcons meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Clune Arena. Boise State is 17-5 overall this year. The Broncos beat Colorado State in their last game. As for Air Force, they’re 12-10 this season and coming off a loss to New Mexico back on Friday. Boise State Broncos 

Boise State went a solid 12-4 over their first 16 games, losing to only SD State, Charlotte, Santa Clara and Nevada in that time. The Broncos are 5-1 since then with wins over UNLV, Wyoming, Nevada, Fresno State and Colorado State. 

In the Colorado State game back on Saturday, Boise State hit the first half with a 44-29 edge. The Broncos kept it going on a 36-30 run from there and won the game 80-59. Tyson Degenhart led the team on 22 points with four rebounds. 

Air Force Falcons

Over on the Air Force side, they lost to Bowling Green, Texas A&M-Commerce, Portland, Portland State, San Diego State, Nevada and Utah State in their first 16 games. The Falcons are 3-3 since then with losses to San Diego State, San Jose State and New Mexico in the last three outings. 

Back on Friday versus New Mexico, Air Force was outscored 43-34 in the first half. The Falcons posted 39 points from there but still lost 81-73. Rytis Petraitis was the leading team scorer, doubling on 19 points and 11 rebounds. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’ll stay with Boise State here. The Broncos didn’t have too much trouble with Colorado State in their last outing and they’ve now gone 7-1 in the last eight games. Boise State has scored 67 or more points in seven of those eight outings as well. As for Air Force, they’ve been at 60 points or fewer in three of their last five games so they’re going to need to kick the offense up a notch in order to keep up here. I don’t think the Falcons will have the legs to post a cover in this one.
