Air Force vs Delaware 11/11/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens and the Air Force Falcons meet Friday in college basketball action from Clune Arena. Delaware is 1-0 so far this year after an opener win versus Wilmington. Delaware had some proud moments last season, going 22-13 overall with a 10-8 record in the CAA. The Hens finished in fifth place in the standings but eventually won the conference tournament. Delaware was eliminated in the First Round of the national tourney, though. 

In their first game of the year back on Monday, Delaware didn’t have too much trouble with Wilmington. The Hens jumped out to a 34-19 halftime lead and cruised to the 78-54 result. Tops in scoring was Jyare Davis with 20 points and five rebounds. 

Over on the Air Force side, they went 11-18 overall last season with a 4-13 run in Mountain West Conference games. The Falcons landed in second-to-last place in the conference standings, beating out only San Jose State. 

Air Force had a tricky matchup versus Bowling Green in their opener. The Falcons scored 29 points in each half during a 62-58 loss. Camden Vander Zwaag led the way on 14 points, and Jake Heidbreder added 12 points in 31 minutes of work. 

PICK: I might take a stab on Air Force. Probably staying away from this one, though. The Falcons didn’t shoot particularly well versus Bowling Green in their opener (40 percent) and were out-rebounded 38-31. The key difference was Bowling Green’s 19 free throws to the Falcons’ four. As for Delaware, they took care of business in their first game but this will be an uptick in competition for them. Should be a pretty interesting matchup overall.
