The Nevada Wolf Pack and the Air Force Falcons meet Saturday in college basketball action from Clune Arena. Nevada is 11-3 so far this year. The Wolf Pack beat Boise State on Wednesday. As for Air Force, they’re 9-5 overall after a loss to San Diego State. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Nevada won their first five games this year, then fell to Kansas State. The Wolf Pack are 6-2 since then, beating Akron, Sam Houston, Pepperdine, UC San Diego, Norfolk State and Boise State along the way.

On Wednesday versus Boise State, the Wolf Pack took a 30-27 lead into the second half. Nevada scored another 44 points from there and held on for the 74-72 win. Kenan Blackshear led the team on 20 points with five assists.

Over on the Air Force side, they went 3-3 over their first six games with wins over Delaware, USC Upstate and MS Valley State. The Falcons are 6-2 since then, beating Montana, AR-Pine Bluff, South Dakota, Arkansas State, Tarleton State and Northern Colorado.

In the San Diego State game on Wednesday, Air Force was outpaced 36-23 in the first half. The Falcons didn’t get any closer and lost 71-55. Jeffrey Mills was the lone double-digit scorer on the team with 10 points.

PICK: I’ll probably stick with Nevada in this one. The Wolf Pack eked by a pretty good Boise State team in their last outing and they’ve scored a combined 152 points across their last pair. Nevada has been all over the place scoring-wise lately, though. As for Air Force, they were drilled by a talented San Diego State squad on Wednesday, however the Falcons haven’t been playing too badly these days. Still, I think Nevada powers out a cover in this one. Should be an interesting matchup.
