Zac Watson played in more than 600 minutes last season and Leslie Nkereuwem averaged 4.3 rebounds. The Longwood Lancers return 4 of their top-5 scorers from a team that made the NCAA Tournament. Yes, Longwood says goodbye to Justin Hill, its best player, but this is a team that has to feel it should be favored to win the Big South and return to the big dance.

The Alabama Crimson Tide enters the fourth season under coach Nate Oats. Jahvon Quinerly returns after averaging 13.8 points and 3 rebounds, while Noah Gurley averaged 6.8 points and 3.5 rebounds. Darius Miles played in more than 500 minutes last season and Charles Bediako averaged 4.3 rebounds. The Alabama Crimson Tide lost a lot of players from last season, but snags two 5-star recruits in Brandon Miller and Jaden Bradley. Alabama also lands Ohio transfer Mark Sears, who was a first-team All-MAC selection last year. Alabama is a serious threat in the SEC this season and should reach the big dance for a third straight year.
